Clouds Forest 

Many people are on this assumption that Semnan province is thoroughly covered by deserts; in contrast, a stunning place emerges after passing arid lands which is called Clouds Forest. This forest is surrounded by clouds and situated on 45 kilometers north of Shahroud County in Semnan province. Clouds Forest is a part of Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests that is considered as one of the oldest forests of the world which dates back to 40 million years ago.

Gissoom Jungle  

Gissoom Jungle is one of the most exiting places to visit in Iran. Driving merely 80 kilometers from Rasht to Astara (332 kilometers from Tehran), a tunnel tree captivates your attention on the right hand side. Sound of birds and sunlight running through the trees create a quiet and pleasant environment. After heading 3 kilometers, you will reach the beautiful Caspian beach where you can experience cheerful moments. You can enjoy various activities including swimming, strolling along the beach, or staying in scenic suites which have 30 meters distance from the sea. This jungle is covered by 70 flora species. Gissoom beach is the best place for surfing in Gilan province because of its high waves. In addition, jet skiing and boat riding are other activities that are carried out in the area.

Alimestan Jungle

Alimestan is a village in Chelav rural district, in the central district of Amol County, Mazandaran province. Alimestan jungle is also known as the green gold of Iran and attracts Iranian and foreigner tourists and photographers with its picturesque views. Local people are on this belief that the calderas existing there with 10 meters depth were formed when Rostam, the most celebrated legendary hero in Shahnameh, kneeled down to drink water from the spring. Low temperature in hot seasons, the variety of jungle coverage and abundant springs are all the beauties of this jungle.

Arasbaran Jungles

The nature of Arasbaran is one of the most stunning Iran's tourist attractions. This region is situated in West Azerbaijan Province and considered as Hyrcanian forests. The jungle's fauna variety is very unique that many hunters try to hunt illegally. This jungle has been introduced as a preserved area since 1971.

Hyrcanian Forests

Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests are lush areas that are located near southern beach of Caspian Sea in Iran and Azerbaijan and cover 55000 square kilometers area. The jungle name was originated from the ancient Hyrcanian region. Iran's Hyrcanian jungles are situated along Caspian Sea and the north of Alborz mountain range. Around 33% of the Hyrcanian jungle volume is composed of beech Asian trees. Shortage of cone-shaped species is the main feature of the region which just a few trace remains. 

Alimalat Jungle

Alimalat jungle next to Alimalat Lake is considered as one of Mazandaran province tourist attractions and located on Chamestan- Nur access road. Alimalat jungle is situated on the southern part of Karegar Kola village siding-track. The distance between Alimalat jungle from the main road of Nur- Chamestan is estimated about 3 kilometers; additionally, Alimalat Lake which is located within the jungle is used as a touristy place. This lake is so spectacular that seems it hugs the jungle and everything is prepared to enjoy some tranquil hours.

Asalem Jungle

Asalem jungle is one of the largest and most beautiful jungles of Iran. Asalem jungle is situated on Asalem- Khalkhal road, which itself is one of the most stunning roads of Iran. Asalem is a city in Gilan province, north of Iran. Gissoom forest park, Asalem- Khalkhal road and Jalal Al-e-Ahmad house can be named as places to visit in Asalem. The old road of Asalem- Khalkhal is a spectacular road for jungle trekking and ecotourism where has been used for many years by many people travelling from North to Ardebil. Walking pathway of Asalem jungle is approximately 20 hours that is a combination of hiking and jungle trekking in hard and easy routes.

Fandoqlu Forest

Fandoqlu forest is located near Namin city and on the heights of Ardebil province. This jungle is at a height of 1500 meters above sea level which makes it as a cool and pleasant region. The area of ​​this pristine forest is about 4,000 hectares. Plains covered by colorful flowers are the most prominent characteristics of this jungle that makes it as a unique and striking region. German chamomile and Lilium ledebourii are the rarest flowers in the world that can be found in this jungle. German chamomile flower festival is one of the beautiful attractions of Fandoqlu forest which is annually held on June 14 and 15.
